Flower Care
Fresh Flowers
Caring for your blooms:
- Place your flowers in water as soon as possible after receiving them.
- Use a clean vase filled generously with fresh, cool water.
- Remove all packaging, including paper wraps, and strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline to keep the water clean.
- Trim 2–3 cm from the bottom of each stem at a sharp angle before placing them into the vase.
- Ensure stems have space and airflow — avoid overcrowding.
- For maximum vase life, refresh the water, re-trim stems, and clean the vase every 2–3 days.
- Display your flowers in a cool spot away from direct sunlight.
- Remove any wilted blooms promptly to extend the life of the remaining flowers.
What to avoid:
- Direct sunlight, air conditioning, or drafts (hot or cold).
- Ripening fruit and scented candles, which can cause flowers to age more quickly.
- Leaving flowers out of water for long periods. If this happens, re-cut the stems and place them straight back into water.
Extra tip for bouquets:
Keep the binding on the stems when unwrapping to preserve the florist’s arrangement.
Preserved & Dried Flowers
- Preserved and dried flowers typically last 1–3 years and, in the right conditions, can last even longer.
- Keep them out of direct sunlight, wind, and drafts.
- Avoid humidity to prevent damage.
- Dust gently from time to time to keep them looking their best.
✨ With a little care, your flowers will stay beautiful for as long as possible.
